Welcome to Al-Thara's forum on non violence. Here is a comprehensive, but by no means definitive, compilation of different sources related to non violence. All the materials used are freely available on the internet. They include books, scholarly articles, website excerpts and magazine articles. They have been placed in loose categories and some sources have been put under multiple headings.

The purpose of this collection is to help stimulate discussion and provide a springboard for new ideas around non violence. The sources were selected for their originality, verifiability and relevance to the topic. We seek to solicit a diversity of opinion on topics concerning non violence with the aim of framing and encouraging public debate and awareness. Contained within each section are a short introduction ("Introduction") and some starter questions ("Questions"), covering a limited range of material, to help begin the conversation.
